Patrick O'Connor is a graduate of SUNY Maritime College, he has experience working onboard both blue water and brown water vessels. After earning his USCG Third Mate License Patrick worked for Kirby Inland Marine both on deck and in the wheelhouse of tug boats. He has valuable experience pertaining to the loading and discharging operations of tank barges, the building and breaking of tows, and the navigation of these vessels on the Intra-Coastal Waterway system and the Mississippi River.
Patrick is a graduate of Roger Williams University School of Law in Bristol, Rhode Island. He has experience working on cases involving the coverage of the Longshore and Harbor Workers Compensation, the Jones Act and other actions that arise from general maritime law. While in law school Patrick undertook renewal evaluations and exams for his USCG Third Mate License, which is valid until 2020.
He is an admitted member to the state Bars of New York and New Jersey and is admitted in the United States District Court of the District of New Jersey with admission pending in the United States District Court of the Southern District of New York.
